Designing a new website to reflect the online community.
The project
We designed a new visual identity and website for the Vitiligo Society. Our challenge was to produce a website to reflect the vibrancy and youthful community to draw new members closer to the site. The site holds health information and advice for Vitiligo, and the society also offer a community membership, so it was important the design got the balance of informative and social.
Creating a new visual identity that emphasised the community element of the charity while making the health information on the website also clear and available was a challenge. We had to look at the existing content, understand what content would be introduced in the future and create modules to accommodate that content to produce a flexible design style that would last.
Before and after
Color pallet
We produced a bold but versatile colour pallet inspired by a vibrant, colourful community, while the blue’s and green provides a medical and professional feel. We based the background colour on skin tones.
The impact
The site was launched in 2019 and has created a more accessible and appealing site for the Vitiligo community to access. The versatile brand and modular design should hold the charity in good stead to grow their community and their brand digitally and in print. We’re excited to see how they progress.
