The project
In designing our website for British Wildlife magazine, we aimed for a clear, user-friendly layout highlighting our commitment to studying and conserving British wildlife. It features easy-to-navigate menus, with direct access to the magazine's current and past issues. The site showcases high-quality images reflecting the focus on nature, including informative articles and conservation news. Additionally, it provides resources for subscribing to our magazine and exploring further through books and blogs, all dedicated to the diverse wildlife of Britain.
We designed several page templates to cover the different sections of the online magazine content. Creating different visual treatments to differentiate them.
Search results page
The search functionality allows users to specify taxonomies and regions as search critieria.
Color pallet
We had to work with the existing design of the magazine, developing color pallet which worked with the existing brand, extending the aesthetic to work across multiple sections on the website.
When ‘extending’ limited color pallets, we’ll work with the main color of a brand to find other colors that fit together with it. In this instance, we’ve kept to natural colors which we sourced from wildlife imagery, extending the color rules so each color has consistent hue’s tints and tones.
